It was 35 years ago that the first ever BMW 3-Series Convertible was unveiled at the IAA international motor show in Frankfurt. The open-top four-seater car was an instant hit with its graceful silhouette, low, horizontal shoulderline and a seating position that further intensified contact with the outside world. Unrivalled in its segment, this formula for generating supreme driving pleasure under the open sky has been consistently refined by each successive model generation, with the new BMW 4-Series Convertible now the sixth generation to deliver a contemporary take on the original concept.
